For the puppies and kittens who arrive at Suncoast Humane Society, finding a loving family is the destination. But there’s a lot that has to happen before they get there.
In fact, 57% of the animals who arrive at our facility are puppies and kittens under 4 months old and require medical care during their stay with us.
That means vaccinations, de-worming, boosters, spay or neuter surgery, not to mention a warm, safe place to sleep, age-appropriate nutrition and vital supplements. Plus enrichment, attention and all the little things that add up during the days or weeks they spend in our care.

We’ve filled our fall leaves with some of the little faces your support helps every day. As donations come in, watch their leaves transform through the colors of fall. Each new color means we’re one step closer to our goal of providing the care for the little ones that come through our doors.
