Prevention Services
Keeping Pets with the Families Who Love Them
Our mission extends beyond veterinary care. We know that many families deeply love their pets but struggle to afford routine medical services. By making essential preventative care accessible, we help reduce the number of pets surrendered because of financial hardship. Every vaccine, every wellness visit, every microchip, and every spay or neuter procedure helps strengthen the bond between people and the animals they cherish.

A Community Resource
The Milne Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve as a community resource by providing affordable preventative veterinary services by appointment. While our focus is preventative medicine, we encourage every pet owner to establish an ongoing relationship with a full-service veterinary practice for comprehensive medical care beyond the scope of our clinic. Together, we can ensure pets receive the care they need throughout every stage of life.
Services We Provide
The Milne Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of preventative services designed to keep pets healthy, including:
- Vaccinations for dogs and cats
- Spay and neuter surgeries
- Heartworm and feline disease testing
- Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
- Deworming treatments
- Microchipping
- Wellness screening and pre-anesthetic bloodwork
- Nail trims and other preventative services
Our goal is simple: make essential preventative care accessible so pets can live healthier lives and families can stay together.
Why Prevention Matters
Preventative care is one of the greatest gifts you can give your pet. Routine vaccinations, parasite prevention, wellness testing, spay and neuter surgery, and early health screenings help protect pets from painful, costly, and often life-threatening diseases before they begin. By focusing on prevention rather than crisis care, we help families avoid unnecessary suffering while allowing pets to live longer, healthier lives. The clinic provides vaccinations, testing, parasite prevention, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter services designed to support lifelong wellness.
Contact the Clinic
When preventative care is affordable, pets stay healthier, families stay together, and fewer animals enter shelters. That’s why we’re here.
Meet Our Clinic Team
Dr. Tamara Clarkson
Veterinarian (per diem)
Dr. Tamara Clarkson is a proud graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
After successfully building and selling her veterinary practice in Sarasota, she thought retirement was calling… but it turns out her passion for helping animals had other plans!
She is blessed to be part of the team at Milne Veterinary Clinic at Suncoast Humane Society. Dr. Clarkson loves the clinic’s mission and is constantly learning new things in shelter medicine that she didn’t experience in general practice. She truly enjoys the dedication of our staff and feels welcomed and supported every day.
When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her catching the sunset on Englewood Beach, hunting for shark teeth, paddleboarding in Lemon Bay, or traveling to Nashville to visit her daughter, Summer.
Dr. Andrew Church
Veterinarian (per diem)
Dr. Andrew Church brings a lifetime of dedication, experience, and passion for animals to our team.
He’s originally from Seattle and served in the U.S. Army from 1985-1989 as a mechanic. After his service, he returned to Seattle, where he ran a dog training business specializing in protection work and difficult behavior issues.
In 1996, he moved to Pennsylvania and continued training dogs while attending East Stroudsburg University, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Medicine with a chemistry minor.
He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
Dr. Church owned and operated a veterinary practice in the Poconos for 15 years before moving to Florida in 2022. He now works as a relief veterinarian, bringing his wealth of knowledge and calm, confident approach to every clinic he’s a part of.
When he’s not working, Dr. Church loves spending time with his family, snorkeling at the beach, and riding his Harley.
Angela
Clinic Manager
If there’s one thing you should know about Angela, it’s that she’s been animal obsessed for as long as she can remember. With 25 years in veterinary medicine, she’s done just about everything the profession has to offer, but shelter medicine has truly stolen her heart. Helping animals in need and giving them a second chance is what inspires her every day.
As Clinic Manager, Angela loves building a clinic where pets receive compassionate care and clients feel like family. She believes every wagging tail, happy purr, and successful adoption is worth celebrating.
When she’s not at work, you’ll usually find her at the beach, spending time with her family and her own furry crew, hunting for shark teeth, paddleboarding, or convincing everyone that Mexican food is the answer to almost any question.
Keely
Vet Tech
I’ve proudly worked in veterinary medicine for the past three years, where I’ve been fortunate to combine my passion for helping animals with a career I truly enjoy. Caring for pets and supporting their families is incredibly rewarding, and my love for animals extends beyond work—especially when it comes to my own dog, who means the world to me.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me watching or playing ice hockey. Whether I’m caring for animals or cheering on the game, I enjoy balancing the things I’m most passionate about every day.
Sarah
Vet Tech
Sarah is a sixth-generation Floridian who has spent the past 13 years dedicated to caring for animals as a veterinary technician. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care while building lasting relationships with both pets and their families. Whether she’s assisting with procedures, educating clients, or comforting nervous patients, Sarah treats every animal as if they were her own.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah loves spending time with her kids and her dogs. You’ll often find them chasing Florida sunsets at the beach or enjoying a day on the water fishing whenever they can. Her love for animals, family, and the Florida outdoors shines through in everything she does.
Jarrah
Vet Assistant
Hi, I’m Jarrah! I’ve had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. I will be attending New College of Florida, and I hope to become a veterinarian in the future.
I love dancing, horseback riding, and spending time with animals.
At home, I have a cat named Spice and three guinea pigs who bring me so much joy.
I’m excited to continue learning, caring for animals, and spending time doing the things I enjoy most.
Tiffany
Receptionist
With 15 years of experience working with dogs and cats, Tiffany has a true passion for helping both pets and the people who love them. She enjoys being part of a team dedicated to serving our community by providing accessible veterinary care and helping keep the pet population healthy through spay and neuter programs.
As one of the first friendly faces you’ll see when you visit our clinic, Tiffany loves making clients feel welcome and helping every pet’s visit get off to a great start.
When she’s not at work, Tiffany enjoys exploring new places, visiting farmers markets, attending concerts, and spending time with her two adorable dogs.
